It's obvious whoever did the initial investigation on that group, was not same crew who dropped the ball in the Boston Brothers interview.
Maybe we can get the Mounties to teach interview techniques to our guys.

One paragraph says:
"The investigation was part of a cross-border operation involving Canadian law enforcement agencies, the FBI and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security".
I'm so glad that those were stopped, here in the Pacific NW a Portland man was just very recently arrested for something similar!
Unfortunately you cant' find and keep tabs on every lowlife out there!

True, but now you will start to see the flood of "successes" paraded in the media, to offset the failed Boston investigation.
We will probably never see the details/truth on the Boston failure.
I'm as Pro-American as anyone , so don't see my comments as anything less, please.
The Boston Terrorists were handed to us by a government, Russia, it was not a matter of finding them. When is the last time someone can recall a government asking us to watch two of our own (yes, they were citizens of the U.S.).
Had the Boston Two lived in North Dakota, Alabama, Texas or Missouri & their colors been camouflage; not Nike, The Gap or Hollister,,,then we would have had a hand on them.

Thanked: 3228There are a couple of red flags that pop up for me at first blush. Firstly is the timing of the arrests coming so closely after the tragedy in Boston and our own government tabling new anti terror legislation today in parliament. Have to wonder if it is serendipity or a political expedience.
The RCMP have stated that these people have received support from Al Qaeda in Iran. Iran is predominately Shiite and Al Qaeda predominantly Sunni. Both these sects have traditionally been antagonistic towards each other. Add to that the all fired rush to do something about Iran in certain circles in the US coupled with this being a join exercise has me a bit hesitant.
In any event I am interested to see how it all shakes out in the end. If it does turn out that these guys did pose a credible terrorist threat I will be as happy as anyone that they were stopped before being able to carry any action out. Yea, I am a cynic.

this statement made me think of " Ruby Ridge " for some reason , excessive force takinen , and a change in FBI policies after loosing a big lawsuit !! but the camouflage thing made it come to mind for some reason as we studied it in school and had to do a report on the " camouflage wearing people " who want to live away from society and how it gives them a label
