I don't think Glenn knows the history on this. It was actually the very first straight razor I bought in 2006. I got it at a flea market for $10 or $12. I shaved with it a few times and learned some basic honing on it. I started by honing with an Arkansas surgical black and then bought a Norton 4/8k combination. never got my honing good enough to get a good shave with it and the scales were cracked so I bought new and other razors. I put it on a shelf with the intention to re scale it myself in 06 but never got around to it. I showed the pictures to my 7 yo son and told him I will let him have it when he is old enough to shave. It was my first straight, it can be his as well.

I can't believe that this was almost 10 years ago. The razor has mostly sat while i shaved with a more modern stainless razor, then I grew a beard for a few years. Recently went with a a naked face again and decided to pull this old bad boy out. rehoned on a naniwa 8 k then 12 k and then went 20k and stropped. this old wedge shaves great, I think my beard likes the rigidity of blades like this. Glenn did a good job.

    Shave on brother...shave on.
