Thanked: 3164In answers to your question, ill-considered as they may be in my opinion:
1. Absolutely no one.
2. Men handle things in a firm but discreet manner? Not in my experience. I have worked on roads, in the streets, in town centres, run bars, a hotel, a civil engineering business, built houses and employed hundreds of men over the years (a long time ago now) and the majority of them behave like a lot of housewives gossiping in the town square, going on like a lot of old women. Yes - I am a chauvinist pig, and unashamed of it. Your theories imply that your tendencies are rather chauvinistic too, so we are even. We will just have to agree to differ in our experiences and perceptions of mens behaviour.
3. That, my friend, is simply a ludicrous statement. The officers of Florence Cathedral intended an approach lined with 10 0r 12 impressive statues and commissioned the first one c1410 - Michelangelo was not even born then. Another of the commissioned (ie - paid for - wonga) statues was completed in the 1460s - again, before Michelangelo was born. David was commissioned and started by another sculptor - the work was not even started with Mich in mind. Michelangelo's involvement was for the 3 year period from 1501 - 1504, the work having been set aside for quarter of a century after it was started. Mich was only 26 yrs old himself, and had to put himself forward for the commission, which had been revived by the Guild of Wool merchants (more wonga). So what did he receive in turn to make him argue most fervently for the commission? Firstly, the size of the commission itself. Secondly, to achieve further fame and fortune. Thirdly the three years patronage he would receive while finishing the work. He did it because he could? Excuse me...
Regards,

2. Men handle things in a firm but discreet manner? There is only one thing that a man handles in a firm and discreet manner (well most of them).

Off topic but now I have a question for you guys .
About this " not thanking anyone " business.
I see under my avatar 0 thanks. And under others I see hundreds.
Is that the issue of me not saying thanks ?
How do I put them up there? What's that all about as I don't have a clue.
And what's with the lines that say
" so and so like this"? Or " 5 people like this"?
What's that all about as well?
I spend my time either carving or building razors not mastering the intricacies of computers and protocols.
If I learn enough to post a thread AND add some pictures to it that's a win in my book. That's all I need to know. I couldn't begin to tell you how to wrap quotes or do any of those types of things. I'd like to at times quote something somebody says but I don't know how. So I just type in the question and then answer it in a post.
That's all I can do.
Yes I have a site for my carving. A blog as well. Also one for my razors. I didn't build them and I never bothered to learn how to manage them either. It drives me nuts sitting in front of a screen trying to figure this stuff out. I do things with my hands and let others sort out
those details. I can't be bothered .
So if there is some secret computer geek way of saying THANKS that only you guys seem to be able to recognize instead of me typing " thank you " in a post , tell
Me how to do it so I can make you happy
