    Great restorationy my friend.
I love the look you've gone for as a rule I like my Razors to show their age if they are vintage .It just makes me think of the history of the blade when I'm using it.
    Cheers Paul

    Very nice Tom.

As much as I like a nice 'n shiny restore I think a razor that looks like it has aged gracefully shows much more of its history and its character shines through.

When possible, I also think this is the apex of restoration. An added bonus Tom is that you are able to photograph the steel so it looks like steel. I am finding this is not as easy as it sounds.

Great restoration! Bring them back to show the dignity of their age! Love restoring old scales, especially when they show some character and use.

Thanks to all, Gents. I sat upon these for a long time deciding how to proceed. Some razors are pretty bad with rust and pitting.
Those can be reground, satin finished, etc. Some have improper scales or some which are too far gone. They can be replaced.
These were not too bad and since I do consider these to be an investment toward my collection, I wanted to keep their good traits while lightly improving their bad ones. I have seen so many in this condition with the scales lopped off, replaced with something not nearly accurate, and the blade sanded and buffed to oblivion. The value goes down the drain as a collectible as that is done. The history is also erased. There are too many in bad shape out there to use as a custom canvas, IMO.

I love making something from nothing, but as I begin with an actual something, I try to refrain from doing too much. Just me

    I rest my case.
