    Yes, I am thinking of using the scales from the bottom razor on the top one as they are better.
    In taking a 8/8 down to 7/8 or below, the length seems to be disproportionate. I feel I will take off the end til it looks good?
    Then, I figure I shall need some smaller Henckels scales. May be OK?
    In any rate, I hope either one eventually rivals the one here. A Real Beaut!

    Oh...I mis-read what you posted. I thought the crack was near the toe and you were thinking of making a 'shorty'...Duh!!!

    I don't know if you'll need to shorten the blade. The one I did is about 23 mm...slightly less than 15/16... and it is a full size (length) blade. I think it you end up at 7/8 you can stay full size...JMO.

    Ya, I see what you are saying. The crack is a tad south of the middle. I just hate to see a blade too long for it's width.
