Thanked: 735Shanghai Steel
Put my Double Arrow in a set of simple plastic scales.
That was a step in the right direction...
Then I added a French point, sloped tang (sorta gives it more of a humpback look), thumbnotch, and modified heel....
I'll hone 'er up, and see if it merits a re-scale

Thanked: 398Nice job !!! I love the look of that blade. Who would have thought that a $10 razor could end up looking like this hehe!
Did you make the scales yourself or are they just replacement scales?

Thanked: 735Those are just a standard set of plastic scales I use to throw a razor in to sharpen it up, and test shave, etc...But a dramatic improvement over what the razor came with!!!!!

Thanked: 398They do look pretty solid. I wonder if I could find something that would fit mine (I'm getting tired of these crappy ones). Did you use a Dremel to do the work on the tang?

You did a nice job anyways!
Who knows it might just become your favourite razor and then you'll give me your Dovo SS :P:P (wishful thinking here)

Very nice indeed - It never ceases to amaze me the things people try...and how often they work!

Very Very nice.
I have a Double Arrow on the way and will have to certainly try some of these ideas.
