Thread: Shanghai Steel

Put my Double Arrow in a set of simple plastic scales.

That was a step in the right direction...









Then I added a French point, sloped tang (sorta gives it more of a humpback look), thumbnotch, and modified heel....

I'll hone 'er up, and see if it merits a re-scale

Nice job !!! I love the look of that blade. Who would have thought that a $10 razor could end up looking like this hehe!

Did you make the scales yourself or are they just replacement scales?

Those are just a standard set of plastic scales I use to throw a razor in to sharpen it up, and test shave, etc...But a dramatic improvement over what the razor came with!!!!!

They do look pretty solid. I wonder if I could find something that would fit mine (I'm getting tired of these crappy ones). Did you use a Dremel to do the work on the tang?

Oh, all right....yes I did. Big Bubba's "semi-custom" was the inspiration for my latest flurry of activity.
