    I honed the razor today and I think the qualitiy of the steel is good. In my opinion better and harder than the damascus steel from Boeker. What I noticed, the shank is very thin, that made the razor tricky to strop.

    Some of you certainly thinking, the silver stripe on the blade in original conditions is from imporper usage. But the silver stripe on the edge was there because TI not etched the razor on this part. So the metall was still silver. Probably they had fear to destroy the thin blade, if they put it full in the acid. I donīt know.

    Here is a close photo from the blade after polishing and several reetching from me. I think this treatment shows now a better contrast (still not perfect, but better).
