    i found the before picture. It had one of those Bamboo looking scales, which were broken at the wedge end.

    Very nice work.

    Your photography is also very nice. It is hard to do justice on both a polish blade and a handle at the same time.

    Did you really just use Tung oil as finish? The scales look nice and shiny.

    Yes, 24 hr soak, then 24 dry.
    Then 6 coats wiped on, dried and 0000 mesh sanded between coats.
    coat of Meguiar's car polish at the end.

    I thought tung oil will leave a satin finish when dried. Your scales look very shiny. I will give tung oil a try sometime.

    It's satin until you start with the wipe on coats as described above.
