Ah, that is a real beauty, great work!

Just curious, when you do a literal translation of "Coupe Chou" in English, it is something like "cut cabbage". Is that the true translation?

yes... or "cabbage cutter". A "coupe-chou" is originally an infantery sword in early 1800 :

    Vraiment Superbe Monsieur
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Interesting! So how does the cabbage reference fit in?

it seems that this sword was big and bulky and not usefull in combat, it explain its nickname
I don't know why it gives its name to straight razors.

    An other explanation :
in french slang, "chou" means head.

"coupe-chou" would come from the same origin as cut-throat. It's also one of the nicknames of the guillotine...

Can I please have it? Pretty please with a cherry on top. That is one of the most elegant razors I have seen. Absolutely stunning.

Simply beautiful, typically i prefer blades without gold on them but the way it was incorporated here is really classy. Great work!
