Passing time
One of the razors in my to do pile. It had a big chip on the end of the blade, and the original scales were pretty chewed up and broken off on one side. I was bored and wanted to see what I could do with it. the blade had minor rust and very little pitting, sorry for the no before pics.
I cut off the tip of the blade where it was chipped and cracked, shortening it about 3/4 inches. then I made new lacewood scales. coping saw, dremel sanding drum, then lots of hand sanding. with a CA finish. I re-used the original wedge. prolly have to replace that. I do not like it. then I practiced my pinning. I still need a lot of practice. sorry for the crap pics. I am a baker not a photographer, but I am still learning.

Hmmm, doesn't look like a shortened blade.
Nice job.The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Nice! Shortened blades can be hideous. Looks very nice.
Nice work on the scales, too!
