    Did you sand inside the scales? You can also polish inside them without any unpinning--just put some Flitz on a piece of ribbon and work it around in there. I think those are gorgeous scales. Give them a good soak in neetsfoot oil before you do anything too harsh to them. I had some nice ones delaminate on me, and I think it could have been prevented.
