Yea ... had a lil mishap with the originals and as much as i didnt really want to, I had some ivory paper micarta so I fugured what the hell .. I actually like the thing. It handles well and looks clean other than some obvious pitting. The brush is just one of those Lee Valley knots i stuck in a (you guessed it jeg227) antique creamer bottle. It's not glued in yet. I'm still toying with the idea of a walnut plug to set it in.
    Thanks Nate!

They're really classy man. Nice and clean, and a great wedge fit. Pins look good and clean too.

    Hello Mike,

I have a very similar blade I'm in the process of restoring, and I've been trying to learn where it was actually coming from.

Mine's also marked "L.B.Ltd. Montreal", and "USA" on the other side of the shank.
You say yours comes from Germany?

On the blade, it's marked "Black Diamond" as you can see from the picture (sorry for the quality).

I couldn't find anything 'black diamond' from the USA. I'm confused.

Yea ... sorry somehow i missed your post. Mine said diamond on it before i started sanding it out also although mine is a square point. Other than that the same blade. I used it again tonight and still gives a great shave. Throw some scales on her, hone her up and use it. you wont regret it.
    Mike
