Default French "Lotus" in Stabilized Blue Maple Burl

Here is a rescale of a personal razor I did recently. It is a French "Lotus" full hollow and is a heck of a shaver. I put it in blue stabilized maple burl with an orange G10 wedge.

Very nice. I love it. I have been meaning to use some dyed burls. Looks wonderful.

Where do you get that wood, and how is it finished?

I hope you don't mind. I took your picture and boosted it a little bit so everyone can see the wood a little better.

    Nice !!!

Same question as Rune had though, did you do the wood, or buy the wood, and if you made it, I am interested in what you are using as the hardener ???

There is a guy on eBay that sells dyed, stabilized wood that is very nice. Can be pricey though. eBay My World - craigstevensstudio I wish I could do it myself, but stabilizing wood can be a bit tricky.
