Those are really nice, Glen. ERN Crown and Sword razors are some of my favorites.

The Crown & Sword Pair are home...
They have arrived!!!
I won't bother with pictures, as I have no hope of doing a better job than Glen at documenting his amazing work.
And I have not had a chance to shave with them (report to follow).
But they look so good I had to post a note as soon as I unboxed them.
The scale material seems to change color as you move under different types of light - this is an interesting and pleasing effect. Even though you know they are "synthetic" it has that warm/natural/bone "glow" for want of a better word.*
The bonus was the case. Glenn asked me to send that on so that he could make sure that they would fit. The work he did to clean and restore the case is amazing. It's a delicate balance to bring the case back to life and not make it look "over restored" (hope that makes sense)
End result is a boxed pair that looks like it has been carefully used for generations.

Shave Report - Crown & Sword Pair
Background: Cold water shave, Proraso Sandlewood with glycerin and Vostok kicker (my current SOTD)
No stropping per instructions.
Perfect shave with the edge you should not take for granted...and exceeds your expectations.
What I could not stop thinking about was the balance that Glen was able to achieve.
Although the C&S is hollow ground it is "substantial" and the scales Glen paired with them give the razor that "favorite fishing rod in your hand" feel that you can't describe to someone but know when you feel it.
And I am reminded why some things are best left to the Pros.....
(Pause to re-check BBS face)
Well done!

Very nice. I love the "Mark-1 Eyeball" device. Being that close to spec from eyeballing it I would be grinning also. Great job.

A public shout-out to Glen's fantastic work.
I've now used "#1" of the pair four times and I consider it "best in class" of my rotation.
If I have a better shaver in the Remuda I'm going to guess its going to be the twin...
And seething the pair on his monthly post just made my day.
Craftsmanship and Artistry at this level does not come along very often, and when you get a chance to see it and use it ...
You should let people know...
Well done Sir...
