I have a bengall similar, that was made for a place in the southern part of SA. I'm assuming it was the local 'general store'/service station etc. They were in charge of road maintenance in the area from 1929. Amazing what you can find from digitized newspaper clippings.

This was my first successful honing adventure as well. Shaves very nicely. I debated respraying the metal case. The scales are a little warped but have not impinged on the blade, though that may be why it is slightly loose.Last edited by Robbied; 06-10-2014 at 03:15 AM. Reason: more info

Thanked: 22A bit more info on Robbied's razor... Geo Stenner ran the hairdresser/tobacconist & newsagency of Millicent, from about 1910 to 1936. It makes sense that the Stenners razor was connected to the barber's shop. Whoever was Cadman's agent in Australia certainly encouraged hairdresser/barber/tobacconist shops to brand their razors as a form of advertising.

Thanked: 485There was a razor at a local antique shop a few months ago from Tanunda, a town near here. I don't recall the brand (if any was marked). I might go and see if it's still there. It'd be as rare as hens' teeth I reckon...
