If I am thinking what you are thinking and you are thinking what I am thinking, then we are both thinking I think. What do you think?

I've just got back from 10 days in WA. I'd have tried to make the meetup if it had fallen into the time window but it was not to be. I did have one bit of luck though, I bought a nice Wald 6/8 Magnetic Platypus razor from a little collectibles shop near the corner of Roe and Williams Streets, Northbridge. The scales are buggered but the blade is good :-)

I bought some Platypus wood to suit this blade and have enough spare for a set of scales if you'd like. It's an Australian eucalyptus known as platypus gum. We're having a woodworking session at my place some time in the near future, come around and make yourself some scales if you wish

Sorry to hijack the thread temporarily, but I took a pic of the wood for you Mike if you are interested. I have enough left for a set of scales, it's yours if you want it.

You blokes, re the 25 th at the Noble falls, all still good, spoke to the publican last night. The Gidgegannup Ag show will be on in the village, and there will be traffic plods about and speed traps so go steady. I will be in the main bar from noon, the bloke in a hat and vest, I will grab a table as Brian reckons it will be pretty busy due to the local show. Cheers and look forward to seeing you all there.

    Cheers

Won't most of the folks at the show be wearing much the same? And probably go to the pub for lunch, i think you need to make a razor hat so that we know who you are

Still all good here and finally got all my hones today and have finished cleaning up all the razor stockpile I had so have a couple need honing if we get the chance. Hopefully we don't attract to much attention with our gear out in the main bar. For some reason people get weird about razors in public.
