Thanks you blokes for coming, I will thank Brian, . It was good to see what you real enthusiasts are up to, was most impressed with the array of stones, hones, strops razors. Greg, good you came along, and a good start for you. I learned plenty, and have marked out a paddle strop for that diamond hone this arvo. We will keep in touch and catch you all in the New Year.
Cheers

Great arvo and good to see how you guys approach it. Forgot to mention that you need to clean the blade after using the diamond spray strop so you don't contaminate your normal strop or other pasted strops. Greg keeping it simple with minimal items is a good start. I have brought a bit but will be the first to admit it has made it harder to get it right as I am constantly using something new. I have started to settle down now and tend to evaluate things one at a time which makes the process smoother. If you need a hand with anything just give a shout out. Hope to be able to catch up again hopefully with more of us and somewhere where we can do more hands on rather than show and tell

Congrats you guys; any meetup is better than no meetup! We started out with only 4 or 5 blokes in Brisbane in 2011.

No problems at all. Hope you manage to keep those razors going with them. If anyone does need help with honing etc feel free to ask and I will help however I am able.

I have decided, at least temporarily and in the interests of expediency to use the balsa paddle and just elastic the stropping boards on, i will make some sort of box for the boards (one day )

I cheated. Just put each one in its own zip lock bag.keeps the pads separate and from contaminating each other.
