Well I'm not so sure of the age but I have noticed that some Bengalls have T.R. Cadman & Sons LTD whereas most do not have the LTD after. I can only assume that the LTD was a later addition as business practices became more complex with time, Australia has a very similar system to Britain.

Having said all that, Bengall ceased production in 1965 so it's at least 49 years old. I'd have a guess that this one may be 1950s. I've just sent an email to the British version of the ABR to see if they can tell me when they became an Ltd company. This will at least help us identify when they started stamping Ltd into their razors.

I've also read that they supplied 250,000 razors for the British Navy during WW2 so they could have easily ended up just about everywhere. After the war they exported between 80%-90% of their products to Australia, Japan, India and Poland. Which accounts for the saturation of them here in Oz.
