Thanked: 0I got one package recently, sent usps international letter 5th Aug, from NY, arrived 12th Aug. Another package sent from Streamwood Illinois on the same day, also international letter, still not here yet 17th Sep. I cant understand how usps organises their deliveries. Never had a problem with Fed Ex, Royal Mail, Chungwa Post (Taiwan ), Royal Hong Kong Post and others, just usps. USPS deliberatly makes it impossible to contact them and filling out their complaint form is useless. From now on, any packages that I order from USA will be either UPS or Fed Ex (expensive but worth it). I even sent a flash drive from Aust to Poland and he had it in 4 days. Lately DHL in Germany are being just as unreliable as USPS (Be Warned)

Thanked: 0I tried my luck another time with USPS Express mail international, and it was surprisingly quick. 5 days as prescribed on the site.
priority international is a whole different story tho.
The only time i've ever had anything go missing was auspost.
my mate had a couple of watch case backs (for rolex) sent from germany taking 3 weeks. I find the asian countries tend to be quite reliable even with their standard air mail service.
and yes, i agree that usps site sucks majorly. like previously mentioned, i will continue to wait it out, and once it gets to about 40/45 days on paypal, i will put in a claim then, and have things go from there.

Thanked: 0Just don't go over the 45 days with Payplal because in their eyes you will cease to exist on the 46th.

Thanked: 0Will lodge the paypal claim a few days before the 45 day time frame expires.
Also USPS express is alot better than priority international. Full tracking, and guaranteed delivery date. I got my Kai captain from california within 5 days (including weekends) to australia

Wow -- who did you have to kill for that service mate
That is a seriously short delivery time to Australia
Can you tell me what the price difference was between the 2 methods
I have had recent purchases taking forever (8 weeks) to get here from US, Canada & Europe
Really had enough of slow postage times

Thanked: 0sorry for the late reply... i dont get to check often, not to mention its assignment season now.
if i am not wrong, USPS express is about $30 to ship a straight razor, it was about $25 with Priority Mail International.
in other words, it is not very expensive. it does seem cheaper initially because of the insurance fees, registering it, etc; but once you add up all the fees with priority mail international, usps express becomes quite competitive.
