Thanked: 983Who wants to volunteer...
Don't look at me though, I'm no organiser, but isn't it about time we had another get together in Brisbane? Anyone want to try and sort one out?

Thanked: 203Yeah - sounds good, but i am a little busy between work, getting ready to move and paint the new house, build a workshop and the rebuild on the 4wd i just bought, all the while trying to keep up with my family responsibilities.
That said, i will try to attend very hard if we do get one happening...

I'm up for another get together, the last one certainly went well
Some random thoughts come to mind here and all input is welcome
At our last Brisbane get together it was suggested we do a workshop for our next meet and greet.
Is everybody happy to go with that format?
What skills would you like to cover in the workshop?
Honing, pining, making scales are all possible.
Time limits are going to be an issue for many of us
Though it would be nice to make a day of it with a suitable venue
I'm not sure our usual Coffee Club will be a good place a workshop to take place
So we may need to come up with an alternative place.
Suggestions please, maybe at a members house or a Scout Hall, something else???
We would of course make sure it was all neat and tidy at the end of our time
What do you think?

Thanked: 983Well if it can be organised (Remember, I'm just the instigator. Not the organiser.) Stu once suggsted his Church's hall. That may be a bit far south for some, but it may be a possibility. Stu would better know the answer there. I like the idea of a worksop. But I wouldn't be able to bring much of any skill to show. I would just be a pretty face in the crowd
.
I have no problems with your ideas Rick, I would insist on one thing though. The availability of coffee and tea. I just miss youse bastards, and enjoy a chat over a cuppa with ya's.

I think we will try to get together when the weather warms up some more.
Nobody seems interested when it's cold outside.

Thanked: 3If there is a chance to meet a few faces & learn a thing or two then I'll definitely try to be there.

I will be down at the GC/BNE from Townsville next week for four days if anyone has time to at least catch up for a coffee.
No wet DE or SE or SR shavers that I know of in Townsville! Sorry there is one new member.
Cheers,
Sunbird
