    You can still find them, search "Capote Coat" they are crazy expensive, of course this one was pretty pricey even back then

    Sportsmans Guide has them now and then for a more reasonable price, if I wanted a new one that is where I would be looking

    Yes, the Capote Coat is different from the Mackinaw Coat though. I was surprised the Mackinaw Coat first appeared at the start of the War of 1812. Quite a long and interesting history for the HBC point blanket coats.

    Pretty much,,, The wife searched high and low for the coat at least 25 years ago, it is a actual Woolrich made in the good ol USA
    I don't wear it as often up here, as I did in Colorado, it is a true COLD weather coat hehehe
