Wish I could register a double like for this one Carl!
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanked: 485Thanks! :-)
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanked: 485It's With Despair That You Look Out
It’s with despair
That you look out the kitchen window
At the hills and rocks and trees
In the distance
Sitting there in huddled masses
Like forlorn little creatures
Pressing against the dead grass
Soaking up the warmth from
Mother earth still warm
From sun’s rays
That only an hour ago
Burnt little Bessie’s back so bad
That we had to take her to Doctor J John Silverton
Down in Silverton itself
And she never made it the poor dear
Due to the malnutrition
And the all-around weariness that
Besets us all and mostly you
‘cause you think too much you always have
And even at night you think too much
When you should be asleep and dreaming
You’re lying there thinkingStranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanked: 485I quite like this one. I hope it's entertaining to someone...
(Inspired by 'Scar Tissue' by RHCP (and a bus ride(and life)))
A Lonely View
With the birds, on this morning, I’ll share this lonely view
as my eyes travel
from the line on the road I’ve been tracing with my forlorn eyes
for the last ten kilometres
as it winds left (L) and right (R)
across the grey, risky, commuting surface
that transports the just, meek and mild dreaming soul
to the two white birds in the sky.
Over the forest, on this morning, entire and complete
wheeling in unison
together, above the line on the road I’ve been tracing with my forlorn eyes
for the last ten kilometres
as two birds wheel left (L) and right (R)
across the blue, free, open sky-surface
that transports the just, meek and mild dreaming soul
with the two white birds in the sky.Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Crows are smart...any crow that flies in front of a car for some carrion deserves to suck the pipe.

Thanked: 485Blame Mikael. His photo of snow In Sweden on facebook prompted this...
I Should be Happier...
I should be happier
but then again I wish it snowed
so I could go for a walk
with up-turned collar
hands and face thrust against the rest of the race
stamping along
under fir trees near fjords.
And I could despise them fairly
because when it's that cold
you can despise anybody and anything fairly.
Bitter is what it is.
Bitter is a nice word.
It says what it is and sounds like it too.
It doesn't *uck around at all.
Just sounds like it is like that spitting sound.
Some things are like that;
they just are like that
they are just in your face.
I wish it snowed.Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?
