First girlfriend, first car (Holden LH Torana 4 speed m20 box) which was also my first write off car accident, thankfully I was the only one in the car at the time. It wasn't pleasant.

First loss of drivers licence...Motorbikes caused that, though the Torana didn't help the situation by starting the problem.

My first cut-throat...Unlike the girlfriend, car and pushbike...Well the pushbike wasn't a first pushbike... but anyway, unlike them things, I still have the razor. It cost less than any of them other things and is of far more value to me to boot! And with less bad memories

First tatt and first car. The tatt was carved in to my arm by a HUGE biker looking dude at a tatt shop in King's Cross when I had just joined the army. The night also involved my first (and only), um, 'lady of the night' (which I did actually not enjoy, and I'm ashamed of that event). I know the tatt's very '70's' and I have considered getting it added to but I still like it just as it is, really; it tells a story. I've since got 6 more and they're all as bad as this one!

The car is a Ford TC Cortina. It had a 2L engine and a Ford Top Loader gear box. You could do great diff locks in it (whacking it back into first at 60ks and dropping the clutch). I broke the rocker shaft doing burnouts at Kangaroo Creek reservoir in the hills. We used to pour brake fluid on the tires to get them smoking.

By the time I'd finished with the car I'd had an accident involving all four corners, and even the chassis was rusted out, but it still looked good. I once won a drag race (from light to lights) with a Chevy Impala.

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Always good to hear a story where a Ford blows the doors off a Chevy!

After that many years it doesn't look like he did a bad job. Keep it as is as it represents a time and place.

It was not my first car, but i did have a TD Cortina in that same green - Awseome car. Loved it. When i did have toput it up for sale i had a lot of calls from people who recognised it from the road. Sadly, a week after i sold it, i saw it outside teh local cemetry all stripped and smashed up...
