Thanked: 227Thanks.
Well tonight I was out with some glenfiddich. But lets see what I can pick up in the next few days 😊
I have some pretty good photos on the SLR. Tried to get the sunset today but the kid was not for moving fast enough.

Thanked: 227I'm hoping to get a weekend wild camping over the summer. One of the benefits of Scotland.

Aloha!
I'm an avid Motorcycle Camper. Have been since 1995. There are many Forums for Moto-Camping. Motorcycle camping is, IMO, probably similar to what it must have been like to be camping as a cowboy on a horse. You are limited in what you can carry, even on a big bike, so packing and selecting small useful gear are essential. It's like backpack camping, but with three backpacks (if you have three hard luggage cases on your bike like I do).
I don't Moto-Camp on Hawaii, only on the mainland. I have a home in Florda as well, so I keep my motorcycle there, and base my moto-camping on the mainland out of Florida. I've moto-camped about 35 of the mainland states so far. Some guys have camped all 50 on a motorcycle. Just go to Youtube and put in "Motorcycle Camping" and hundreds of Vlogs will come up for you to watch.
A recent moto-camping trip;
"I get some lather and lather-up, then I get my razor and shave! Zip Zop, see that? My face Is ripped to shreads!"

We were camping in a special area in a state park, on a peninsula in a lake. The land is a mix of Oak savannah and hickory/oak forest. The campsite is walk in or paddle in. There is no hunting in the forest but there were duck hunters in the lake. Turkeys were hanging out in the campsite when we showed up. They took off and flew across the lake. I also saw bald eagles, squirrels, seagulls, and a lot of beaver sign.

Actually we got rained on for two days, and then it was gorgeous for two days. As long as i have beer and a tarp i can hack it but man did it pour on Saturday. The misses and i watched the Cedar River Flow come up 6 inches in about 4 hours. I tied the kayaks up that night!! Sunday and Monday were perfect thought. I got the kayak out around 5am Saturday and ended up following a Doe and two fawns along the edge of the wetlands for about 30 minutes.. was within 30 feet and they didn't spook. Yeah it was a good trip!
