I had to replace an extractor on a .380 after running a few hundred steel rounds through it. I try not to run steel through my guns anymore after that.

Well it looks like out of the current 37,916 members, about 20 are reloaders. I figured it would be more

Thanked: 5OK, OK I reload also!
Pistol: 32 S&W, 38 S&W, 7.62x25, 7.62 Nagant revolver, 38 Special, 357 Mag, 44 Mag
Rifle: 22 Hornet, 308, 7mm Mauser 6.5mm Mauser, 7.62x54R, 8mm Mauser, 30-06, 303 British, 444 Marlin, 45/70 and then my real old rounds 577 Snider, 577/450 Martini, 58 cal us Musket
I cast bullets for all the pistols except the 357 & 44 Mags and for the 45/70 577, 58 cal, and 577/450
Just re-started reloading with my son for his new .410 sxs double. We'll be doing that all by hand
Started reloading 38 Special Loads with THE LEE "Classic" in the 5" x 5" box. Now I have a few different presses and just load for very close friends and for a lot of my Curios & Relics. Getting anything other than the most common ammo in rural Alaska (off of the road system) is difficult if not impossible. So whenever I do go into Anchorage (last time was about 4 years ago) I buy more powders and Primers to be shipped out AIR-FREIGHT HAZ-MAT. Everything else I can order. I got re-stocked recently using GunBroker and also a Website like Craigslist , called Alaskaslist.com.
Funny thing about the US Mail Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes. They used to have a small size about 6" x 6" x 6" for really cheap. Well, once I had a little spare time in Anchorage at a friends house, so I bought a 5 gallon bucket of wheel weights and re-cast them into small ingots using a muffin pan. One of those Little "Flat Rate" boxes would hold 65 lbs of lead alloy!!!! I mailed 6 boxes home! What a deal on shipping.
So, yeah, I re-load too.Last edited by limalletteiii; 04-17-2015 at 02:29 AM.

Thanked: 237I'm only 25, and when my grandfather passed I inherited all his reloading equipment plus my dad bought me a Hornady progressive press for christmas 3 years ago. My grandfather was a competition shooter for a very long time. So now I reload .45 acp, 7mm mag, and .223. I'm a full time student and all my equipment is at my parents place. I've been known to start reloading and not stop for food/water/sleep for absurd stretches of time! Normally I stop when one of my limiting supplies runs out, which is different for each caliber. I have a lifetime supply of brass and lead for .45 acp thanks to my grandpa, I've found brass in one of my 3 very large buckets date stamped in WW2 era!

Thanked: 45We are up to 23 members, I reload. 223, 300blkout, 308, & a bit of 45acp; on a pair of LNL AP's. After 4 yrs, I think it's time to upgrade to case feeders & bullet feeders. I'm thinking I'll get the Hornady case feeders, then a mr. Bullet feeder to share between the presses. Thoughts?

Started reloading in the 70's. Primarily 45 acp, now. Load well over 10,000 a year and use a single stage press and have recently switched to all Redding dies. They are fantastic.
