As of now my usual carry weapon is a G-27 (.40) but I just traded my old 2 1/8" bbl S&W 640 (357) for a gen 4 G-26. Instead of 5 in the cylinder I've got 10 in the magazine and one in the pipe. Do I need all those rounds ? Maybe, maybe not, but if I ever do need them, and I don't have them, I'll never need them again.

I've been carrying the G-26 around for the past few days. Shoots great. Both Glocks are equipped with XS Big Dot sights. For a personal protection weapon I think those sights are everything the manufacturer says they are. Very quick target acquisition at close range. I wouldn't shoot an NRA bullseye match with 'em but for point shooting center mass they are great.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks for the recommendation - The Originals just have to go.

I have been looking at those big dots. The eyes aren't what they used to be lol. What do you think of these? They seem really intuitive to me... and at $70.

I also like the looks of the james bond gun but when I shot the thing it would hurt my fingers. not enough room between the grip and trigger .

Well they look good. I am a pretty good shot with a handgun. I used to post a target on my door at work showing the tight groups I had shot. One day I was talking with a FL state police shooting instructor.

He told me that if I get in a shooting scrape, align my sights on the opponent, and squeeze the trigger, as if I was at the range, "You'll be dead." He introduced me to the concept of point shooting. I used to like to go to the range and have people notice these tight groups I was shooting while theirs looked like they had sprayed the target with a shotgun. Well when I started point shooting I wasn't bringing any targets around to brag about them, but it is getting better.

So after all of that, the reason I really like the big dot sights is because they are ideal for point shooting. If I'm at the range to shoot tight groups, taking my time, I'll use a different weapon, but if it is point shoot drills with my carry weapon, it will be one of those two Glocks with those sights. IME the design of the rear, along with the big dot at the front, really lends itself to point shooting more than a traditionally configured sight picture. http://www.xssights.com/Products.aspx?CAT=8208
