Thread: Which OS Are You Running ?

It is not surprising to me that men who embrace the eclectic practice of SR shaving also exhibit a diverse use of digital platforms and OS software. I am no exception.
MacBook Pro dual booting to either 10.9 Mavericks 64-bit or Windows 7 32-bit. I use the Mac side for music, photography, and videography; everything else is on the Windows side.
Motorola Droid Razr M phone running Android 4.1.2
iPad Mini Retina running iOS 7
I have also used DOS, IBM AIX, FORTH, and Redhat Linux on various scientific and medical workstations.
We SR guys appear to be willing to embrace any platform the works.

Make that at least 3 for gentoo. It is my primary OS however I still tinker with a few other distros when I am in the mood for something different and of course work forces me into the Windows arena. I also have a Macbook Pro. For mobile, I am an Android guy with an assortment of tablets and phones but I am also forced to pack a company issued iPhone.
One last Android toy to throw in is that I recently got my Google Glass to play with. I've been considering a shaving video with the Glass but I'm not the video posting type. I wish that someone would try it though as it would be a great perspective for shaving versus using a camera off to the side.

Thanked: 1587I run them all, basically. At the moment I am on OSX Mavericks, which is kinda unix - I certainly spend a lot of time in the terminal on my Mac.
I have a laptop at the office running the latest Fedora, I've got windows on another machine (for my wife), dual-booting with Gentoo.
I've had Ubuntu, Centos, and various other flavours of Linux. I've even tried Android OS on a virtual machine.

OS X 10.9.4 Mavericks
LinuxMint 17 Mate - note to Jimbo: less fooling around than Fedora; everything's ready to go.
Windows 8.1 (nose held)
Chrome OS -where this is coming from
Windows 7 pro - way easier than 8.1
Windows XP - still hangin' on
