I highly recomend House of Cards, a recent Netflix remake
of a British show. Kevin Spacey plays a politician.

We cut the dish off and got Roku. My wife and I got into some of the British TV shows: all creatures great and small, rosemary and thyme, keeping up appearances and my fav doc Martin. Getting used to the lingo and the change in accent was interesting to get used to.
All these shows are on netflix and tons more. Make sure you get on the netflix website and change you settings for the shows and movies you like, it really helps.

If you are accessing Netflix or Hulu by a device that has internet access you can "use" (like accessing forums) you can sign up for a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service. Basically an account with a private company that routes your signal through one of their servers in different countries. This makes your service show up as originating in that country. Many companies have multiple countries to choose from and different packages/options. I used this when I was in Japan last time for a 4 month stint, was a life saver. There is only so much fuzzy porn and inane game shows one can watch.

BTW, this can be considered a legal grayish area. There are plenty of legal uses for these kinds of services, but they have also been used for more nefarious purpose. If you want to learn more, just google it, shouldn't be a big deal to figure out.

I like watching the lowest rated horror movies on Netflix. Most are bad but there were a few gems there. What can I say. I have a soft spot for b movies.

Careful with Netflix. "I'm going to watch one episode" usually turns into 4 or 5 by days end! It's a great service though.

The 6th season of Mad Men just made its appearance on Netflix Canada... now we're having trouble going to bed at a reasonable time...

    Cheers.

+1 on that. I am traveling internationally most of the time and I use a VPN to stream everything that tries to use geoblocking. I also use it to get around the "blackout areas" associated with some sporting events.

Netflix is the greatest invention since the wheel. I just watched The Wolf of Wall Street and American Hustle. If you want to watch a seriously addictive Netflix original tv show, check out House of Cards with Kevin Spacey. I also really got into Breaking Bad when Netlix got that, and Mad Men is awesome too.

Hmmm, I used to read a lot...

On Netflix I like "Archer", which is an adult cartoon. On Hulu look for "Vikings" (currently season 2 is on-air and season 1 is on VOD), which is a History Channel show that sort of follows the life of Ragnar.
