I've subscribed to Netflix for about 8 years now I guess. Started with the DVDs now I stream instantly with the Roku player. For those of you who are into British TV series, check out
Foyle's War and Sherlock. Both great series and from what I understand they may be coming out with new ones. For comedy check out Peep Show. Happy Netflixing.

Thanked: 375I've been thinking of cutting ties with my cable co. I have my land line, internet, and TV with them.
I would be interested in seeing a list of the shows that are available.
Here's what I watch when I remember they're on
Vikings
Ancient Aliens
Grimm
Revolution
Unearthing America
Survivor Man
Walking Dead
Don't have time to watch them all but that's what on Demand is for
And for those who have tried different systems - Roku, AppleTV, Google TV
which do you like best?CHRIS

For those of you interested in getting ridding of cable or satellite, there's a website that tells you how you can do it using Roku, Hulu, Netflix etc. It's Cord Cutter Guide

Thanked: 1587I also tried with the AppleTV and it works fine, but the ever-present problem for the geoblocked is the switching accounts between countries and is a PITA. I'm preferring the Wii U Netflix channel because it doesn't seem to need me to be logged into a US or UK account to use Netflix (except when I initially set it up).
Bit bummed though - I thought for sure Netflix would have Hogan's Heroes but no luck.

Netflix and Hulu!
I enjoy most of the shows mentioned. The wife and I haven't had cable or satellite TV for years and don't miss it one bit. We have a good internet connection, a smart TV wIth Netflix/Hulu+/Amazon Prime, and we use the Redbox for movie rental. Saves us a ton of cash and frees up a lot of time spent flipping through channels meaninglessly.
We got started with a Roku and liked it then bought an LG Smart Tv that has downloadable apps for each service.Last edited by ariwhiteboy; 04-13-2014 at 12:22 PM.
