    Default Netflix and Hulu!

Now I know my brothers and sisters in the US (and UK??) probably think I'm being overly enthusiastic about something they take for granted, but us Aussies can't get these services in our country due to geoblocking.

It's kind of a grey (or at least untested) area legally, but I put Netflix on my Wii U the other day and I have to say it is cool. Being of a slightly older generation it's great to be able to stream some of my favourite old tv shows for basically $10 a month. Cheaper than pay tv anyway, and a lot more options as far as I can tell.

Anyway, I'm enjoying it! Just thought I'd share.

Ah yeah, I recently watched a bit of Black Adder on hulu - the convenience of easy streaming access despite the ads over looking for the dvds.

    Welcome to the 21st century

Netflix is awesome! What are some good shows that you have found. I have found these shows to be VERY entertaining: The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Dexter. There is a ton of good stuff on netflix. Enjoy!

I don't know if you'd call it a "good" show, but at the moment I'm enjoying "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys".

What can I say? The heart likes what the heart likes.

You should try Watch Xena: Warrior Princess Online - Streaming at Hulu next, or may be in parallel.

You don't want to get only one-side of the story, right

In ancient Greece, Xena, a mighty female warrior, once led an army of outlaws that terrorized the lands and was an enemy of the hero Hercules. Regretting her past crimes, Xena is now on a quest for redemption. Accompanied by her friend Gabrielle, Xena travels across the lands doing good and fighting evil forces.

We have been without cable for a number of years and got Netflix the other month and we LOVE it too! Awesome shows for cheap. We like Everyone Loves Raymond, Rules of Engagement, Lost, random movies, How I Met Your Mother. I just wish Big Bang Theory was on Netflix but for as cheap as it is it has saved us a few hundred in the coat of cable and movie rentals.

oh yeah- and when they got you hooked and go to break for commercial you stay right there And keep watching since there are no commercials. Lol.

Ah Xena. Yes, I did like Xena, but that was before Hercules recruited Cory Everson as the blacksmith.

Would rather use netflix streamed over an old blu-ray player vs. watching 40 minutes of commercials per hour on cable tv. But I'll keep the cable internet connection though.

Actually, this is great - I'm sure there are lots of shows we've never seen in Australia but have screened in the US that may be on netflix. So if people want to list their favourites that would be awesome. I don't get a lot of time to watch shows, but I'll definitely give them a look if people think they are worth it.

    In Canada here...

The Wife and I have the Sony Internet Box with Google TV (NSZ-GS7) and having a heck of a time figuring out how to change the DNS or IP (or whatever it is) on it to bypass the geoblocking that Jim speaks of in the OP.

Anyone have experience / know how to with this specific item?

Much thanks in advance if anyone knows!
