I believe that the term is 'Infused' in which the longer something is marinating in whatever it is that is supposed to 'Flavor it' the more intense the flavor is.

If it still has the same 'tameness' that you originally found, perhaps your just a little more 'heat tolerant' than the poor bastards that you had sample your hot honey.

That's awesome news! Maybe it just needed some time or something? I have a buddy who makes Bread & Butter pickles and puts hot pepper like habaneros in there, but people he knows were asking for something hotter. I gave him some fresh 7-Pots and Caramel Bhuts to try. He lets the flavor develop for two weeks, turning the jar end over once a day to mix. So, about two weeks from now I'll let you guys know how that went.

To me, "heat tolerance" delineates a superbly developed palate.

While the video quality is crap take the time to watch this/it gets around to 'heat tolerance' at the end when he talks about eating Indian Food.

I have that issue quite frequently. I've had some people get really angry when I recommend things to them and then they have to drink a gallon of milk. Now I give a warning to people prior to my recommendations, kinda like a warning sticker on a laser pointer or somesuch.

My friend brought me some pickles and some pepper jelly he made with some of the super hots I gave him. For the pickles he put slits in the sides of an Infinity 7-Pot and buried it down in the middle of the jar. I'm supposed to wait a couple weeks for full flavor to develop before opening so maybe a nice snack for week two of NFL. The pepper jelly he made with Infinity 7-Pots and Caramel Bhuts. There are also shreds of carrots in there. He said it's just awesome on Ritz crackers with cream cheese. I'm going to give it a go later on!

Update... the jelly was awesome! Spicy, sweet, super addictive. It really was amazing stuff!

While we are working in our gardens or tending our bees, remember this:

The average number of American deaths attributed to animals each year:

    Bees, wasps and hornets: 58
Various mammals (such as horses, pigs and deer): 52
    Dogs: 28
    Cows: 20
Non-poisonous bugs (such as ants): 9
    Spiders: 7
    Venomous snakes and lizards: 6
    Bears: 1
    Alligators: 1
    Sharks: 1
If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.
