    I used the habanaro first and while that batch was heating and I was chopping the infinity I took a little piece the size of a small black peppercorn. It didn't bring tears to my eyes but a little sweat and it took about 5 minutes for my mouth to calm down. I cut back a little on my portion to mix with the honey then.

    The first taste tests are in on the pepper infused honey. I didn't actually use the honey for anything but took a 1/3 teaspoon sample.

    Habanero: Very mild. Honey taste and for a second I wondered if I could taste the pepper. Then a very mild and short lasting warmth/flavor.

    Infinity 7-pot: Plenty strong and covers most of the honey taste. Not overpowering but it has been over 10 minutes now and still a slight after burn.

    The true test will be to use these with something else. For a first impression I think that the habanero would go good on cheese or toast and the Infinity for a barbecue sauce.

    It is the wife's camera and it's an older version Olympus Tough TG-2. It has a gajillion settings. Pretty trick.

    These particular photos my wife took this morning to be honest. Pumpkin pop blooms yesterday. She's the photographer and knows how to make the camera dance. I just take snap shots and she take photographs. The shave pic are mine but some others pic might be hers. If it looks really good it's probably hers. Har!

    That's terrific! It sounds like the process works and could be replicated. I'm wondering if making the dried peppers into almost a powder, like sending them through a coffee grinder, would increase the pepper flavor? I like that you were able to get a couple different flavors and heat levels that could be used for different purposes.

    Would any of you know what these are? The pot said "Hot Chili Peppers" with a 70k Sco heat.
    They are hot. A neighbor thinks they are serrano. The plant is very prolific.

    Guess I should have put a ruler in the pic. They are about 2 in. (5cm) long.
