I have a strong love-hate with the world of documentaries. I miss the old history channel days of learning about history. I recently went on a cooking documentary bender, but I fail to remember their names except "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" Pretty eye opening of how far and seriously people can take something. I try to avoid political/topical documentaries, it's absurdly easy to edit something to back your viewpoint.

Thanked: 4I usually don't give documentaries their due, but someone did talk me into watching this—which I'm glad they did.
Doesn't get any more awesome than this.

I love the modern day documentaries with hope in them. Starting to see more and more. Why ? I think these guys with unlimited wealth (especially new money) are waking up to the fact that they live on the same planet as the rest of us. The old money families helped get us into this mess, lets pray these guys can help turn things around.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 580Yeah, I watched the whole thing. Many good ideas there. On a very small planet where 1% of the population retain 49% of the wealth it is great to see someone who realizes money won't save you...

Grazor...saw Harry Crews in your sig line. A quick story: when my son was in his first 2nd year of college he became a fan of Harry Crews. He read all of his novels, but could not find one of them in print. So he actually calls Harry Crews. Crews answers the phone himself and my son tells him his problem. He listens and suggests my son call the publishers. Son told him he did and they said the book was out of print and they didn't have any more. Crews then said: "The bastards."
