I have a springer RWS in .22. Love it but it does take a light touch to shoot. I really want an fx at some point.

Txshooter,
Your RWS should have an adjustable trigger. A light trigger pull is fine for benchrest and other competition shooting but could be dangerous on a hunt.

Roger that. I have had much more success since switching pellets. Funny the RWS pellets did not shoot very good...go figure. The trigger is set pretty nice and soft right now which is ok for me. (I am use to sniper and competition rifles) I see you are from Arizona..I think that is where the US vendor for FX Guns is. I want a PCP bad but my razor addiction keeps cutting into my budget.

Txshooter,
I miss read your post. Yes a light hold is necessary for shooting springers. It takes some time getting a feel for it. Airguns of Arizona is only a 2 hour drive from where I live.
Great store, great people and great inventory. Check 'em out on line. Freddie

Yes springers are a beast unto their own. Luckily I had very good powder burn rifle instruction. They really stressed follow thru (light hold, two sight pictures, trigger reset) just great habits that have worked well for me. Airguns of Arizona was the shop I was thinking of. Everytime I get on their website I just drool. Nice range btw. Beautiful backdrop!

I have a lowly Gamo in 177 from back in the wooden stock days. MAN! I sure wish I had one like it when I was a kid!
McNasty with just one pump! Could not get a cheap scope to stay, so doing the iron sight thing.
Had it at the shop for a few weeks as-new. Big grackles crowing on top of that pole 50 feet out was too tempting!
Every feather represents one bird.
Took it home to thin the squirrel herd. Best hundred dollars I ever spent!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Proud Marine Dad is right, Springers are the air guns that can destroy scopes, they do require a special "air gun" scope. PCP air guns use high pressure air for their power source and kick less than a .22 short you can use any scope you like. BTW the people at Leopold told me all their scopes are rated for air guns across the board. Freddie

Thanks to you and Proud Marine Dad. I find it very interesting about the Leopold Scopes as that was the manufacturer that was used as an example by the website that I bought the scope for my little air rifle for.
Others have mentioned that the scopes didn't work well on their rifles. Many years after I'd gotten the little 120 I picked up a Winchester 1000 (made by daisy) and mounted the scope to it. It never would hold true! However putting it back on the 120 and it holds right on the money time after time.
Thanks again for the insight :Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

I haven't shot an air rifle since back in the 60's. I have been looking at them but really don't know which would be a the right one for me. And now days they offer so many different cal. for different uses. I wonder which would be an all around cal. and rifle for my use. Small game and target. I'm older now and use a scope rifle mostly. Just wondering where i should start the search. any ideas.
