101 is, as you'd expect, a little hot.

Has anyone tried any of the Mitchers offerings?

Recently went on a bourbon tasting spree at a local bar. Drank the usual 101 wild turkey, knob Creek and tried an unfamiliar brand made in Texas called yellow rose outlaw. The yellow rose was by far the smoothest bourbon I've ever tasted. Smooth as crown. Yall should try it.

I like the Turkeys, Knob Creek, the Makers (haven't tried barrel strength yet), Jeffersons, Woodford.... I haven't met many I don't like. A little ice or water for the harsher stuff, but it's all good.

Really solid stuff. I tend to prefer Bulliet, though.

Just shoot the ones that bite and sip the smooth. Works for me.

    Aloha Gentlemen!

Well, it's Sunday. I'm in my Florida Pad for the week before heading back to Hawaii, and it's now after noon. So time to imbibe.

I truly rarely drink these days, but when I do, it's usually Kentucky Bourbon and a Beer. Not that I don't still enjoy Scotch, but Bourbon is my favorite these days.

I took the "Bourbon Trail Tour" a few years ago and really enjoyed the "Wild Turkey" tour and tasting. I also got to meet the Master Distiller there and genuinely had a long heart-to-heart talk with him about the virtues of Kentucky Bourbon, so he hooked me. And I honestly do like the taste of Wild Turkey. I'm a lightweight. I only drink the 80 proof (OK, 81 proof to be exact), but I do enjoy it, and that's what's important, yes?

So my 4th of July Holiday weekend is finally underway.

A wee dram of Wild Turkey chased by a bottle of Leinenkugel Summery Shandy.
Later another wee dram followed by a bottle of Spaten of Germany.

Enoy the holiday, gentlemen. In moderation. But enjoy none the less.

Just started an appreciation for Bourbon. Woodford Reserve is quality, Bulleitt is good value. My local LCBO has Bulleitt with a 10yr age statement on it, so that might be next.

    Woodford is very tasty, IMO.
The makers 46 is a special kinda bourbon as well.
The knob creek 12 is also always in the cabinet.
    Haven't tried bulliet as yet..
