Bourbon Lovers
since a year now i'm in love with bourbon. before i was hating of whiskey, don't like it all even with coke. at college parties, i rather some vodka with orange juice and smoke. in France, bourbon is not know as well, usually whiskey is served at bars or at mall.
last year while i was shopping and i saw bourbon (this was the periode i was watching true detective with a lot of scene with bourbon ) and i wanted to try. i bought a bottle and took a glass of bourbon with glaces while watching T.D . and here we go, i loved the taste !!! it's not like whiskey which i hate the taste but much better. since i drink few times at month and every time, the first drop is a real joy. for now i found only one brand about 10bucks of bottle. but i'd like to try better brands which i don't have access for now.
i think in US. there is much more choice. also i'd like to hear if you have any advice to drink it with something.

I usually drink my bourbon without water or ice. I like to see how the flavors develop while sipping a glass over the course of twenty minutes.
My personal favorite is Buffalo Trace. I also like Four Roses, Evan Williams, and Knob Creek.

Williams and Knob Creek are good.
Also try Wild Turkey and Maker's MarkIf you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

I was thinking about bourbon whiskies last night after I posted. I actually can't think of a bad one. All of the major brands put out a decent product. Here in the States I think most bottles in the $20 and up range are going to be at least satisfactory. I'm not sure about the bottom shelf brands or that Tennessee sipping whiskey that I've never really cared for.

Another vote for Four Roses. Elijah Craig 12yr is great, Blantons and Bookers although on the higher prices side are amazing. Makers Mark is good. Also enjoy Jim Beam Devil Cut.
Usually I drink with a cube of ice.

I'm also an almost daily bourbon drinker. 2-3 fingers either neat or with one ice cube depending on my mood usually provides a whole evening of sipping pleasure.
All the bourbons mentioned so far are excellent. You will develop a taste for what you like as time goes on.
It will be interesting to see what you find in your area and what you like.
Cheers!!
