Ill have to remember next time to get some pics taken next session. We're only a two man outfit at the moment but it is my hope to eventually get a Broadsword/Sabre club started up. Luring people is tough though. They are either wary of the sport as they associate it with too much violence or they're too busy.

We're curently studying Angelo's Ten Lessons and I came across this well done example of them. Enjoy.

That also involve bows and arrows along with straight razors!

I would like to stress and promote the idea that HEMA is for all. I have seen 65 year old men doing it and Petite women with 5 foot two handed long swords so there you have it. And one might also remember that back in the day older gentlemen and officers etc. wielded steel so again there you have it. The proof is in the blade.............and that goes for straight razors too actually ha ha.

P.S. I still remember when we had the ladies corner.

This is super cool. I’ve been curious for a while, and this thread inspired me to search for a local HEMA group. Turns out there’s one pretty close to me that meets on Tuesday evenings, so I think I’ll try it out.

It's every bit as addicting as wet shaving and straight razors. This stuff is too good !

Good luck on your HEMA journey and face it with a smoove face ha.

So things have changed for me in Hema. I had to leave the club I was attending because the owner was creating unnecessary drama with its members and who wants to deal with that kinda BS.
So I've joined another club, and what a great experience it had been so far. Not only have been sparring at least twice a week but I have expanded into Sabre and rapier. I have a Kvetun Rapier in the mail now and the Easton Sabre on order.

Glad to hear you have more than one club to go to,that's luxury ha ha. I had to let my partner go as well due to differences but I left with the possibility for comeback. Expecting and Easton mark III Sabre sometime in January from Kvetun. After a year and a half I finally got my synth Basket hilt from Blackfencer.I am a basket hilt fan. Happy Holidays man.

PS. Have been developing bursitis in both shoulders......how nice.

Been curious to find out what most are wearing these days for torso and shoulder besides a jacket. Shopping and looking for suggestions.

So as far a kit goes I purchased 90% of my kit from WELCOME TO SUPERIOR FENCING . I'm wearing the 800N Colonel Jacket and it offers alot of protection, I hardly notice hard hits. As far as additional protection from a possible sword break I've made a chest protector outta a bucket https://youtu.be/FyzlMbVhz08. Also the SF Gorget has some good callorbone padding.
    Hope this helps
