I had to check my wallet and I have seven of them in there.
My stash of them is running a little low and I got 30 of them when I cashed my check today.
The funnest recent use was when the Girl Scouts came to my door selling cookies. They were $4 a box. Good use for a $2 bill! When I paid the girls she got a weird look on her face and quickly went back to the Dad/chaperone pulling the wagon on the sidewalk and showed him. I couldn't hear what they were saying but watching was much fun.

Thanked: 315You know what they were saying!
"Daddy, is this real money?"
When I was kid helping my Dad cut yards there was one older gentleman that would often give me and my brother a crisp $2 for helping.

Back in the '60 s My father-in-law who was a big coin collector would sort through coins and save the ones that were collectibles and spend the rest. One day my wife's Mom got a call from the school letting them know that her brother was trying to pay for lunch with some buffalo nickels (which are only worth a nickel depending on condition). They thought he was stealing coins from his Dads collection!

I've collected some coins from here n there, but my favorite find was a 1820 penny. I found it in the gravel on the playgrounds at school, I was in third grade, and felt like I had discovered the holy grail.
And the $2 bill.
And $50 in $1 silver certificate's
And don't forget the tin, pennys.

If you were going to "mine" coins these days, I would suggest the high copper content pennies, and a crucible.
