I agree: it has to be loose leaf.

Silver needles (White Tea) is my favourite, but lately natural organic Rooibos
    has become a staple.

Yes, that is a good question... but at 3 AM all I can do is grab the commuter cup slap a couple bags in it an fill it with water and nuke it for 5 minutes. 6 spoons of sugar and I'm out the door. And yes...... I leave the bags in the cup.

When I get home I have the Harney earl grey made with loose leaf, in my tea press.

I have been known to drink a cup or two. its not considered fine living over here though and I'm no fan of earl gray, give me a cup of Barry's any day.

I used to be a coffee fanatic, a couple of pots (16+ cups) a day. Over the course of time that did a real number on my digestive tract, so I went cold turkey. The strange thing was that during coffee withdrawl, I did not have the expected caffine headaches, but I had real difficulty sleeping...for about two weeks.

I've always enjoyed a good cuppa tea, now it is my drink of choice (beer, wine, and scotch whisky excepted of course). My first cup in the morning is a quickie--Lipton's tea bag. At work, I typically have a half dozen or so loose leaf teas on hand. What I brew depends on the time of day and my mood.

My first cup at work is a 50/50 blend of Lapsang Souchong and Assam; very rich, smokey, aromatic. Later in the morning, a good Darjeeling or Oolong. Afternoon, white tea, Jasmine, or Pinhead Gunpowder (Green). Typically, I'll have about 6 cups a day. I guess anything worth doing is worth obsessing about.

    Cheers,
    Ed

I thought only Limey's drank tea?

Just kidding! I like a tea now and then, but nothing fancy. For some reason, it puts me to sleep.

Darjeeling is my preferred black tea and Twinings does a great one.

I also drink herbal teas and love to drink a decoction of Korean Red Ginseng (with other herbs) in early mornings and late evenings. It's a great energy builder which is serving me well right now with a newborn and a post operative mother on my hands.

Loose-leaf is great. There is a large flea market in central Florida that we go to every time we visit. There is a vendor there who makes their own tea...FANTASTIC! Their chamomile, peppermint, and Gun Powder teas are amazing.

I've never experienced leaf teas out of the bag,I'll have to give that a try, but I often have a glass of Pu-ehr tea which is fermented and aged. Tastes earthy and I look forward to a cup on occasion. My daughter is asking me to add some smilies, bear with me.
