Thanked: 0Another tea fan here. I enjoy teas from the Indian regions, rooibos "tea," and white teas (mostly silver needle).

Thanked: 0I drink tea exclusively(as in, I don't drink coffee). Part because I grew up in Russia and we drank tea every day.
In the morning I like something full of flavor to wake me up, black tea of sort. I've been sticking to bagged teas nowadays. I love flavors, lemon, raspberry, blueberry, black berry, all great morning teas in my opinion. Just remember to release a lot of flavor you have to add some sugar. I do an earl grey every once in a while for a morning tea when the bergomot oil calls for me.
If I am drinking a tea during the day, it's generally green. Ginseng, Oolong, Jasmine. Also white when I'm in the mood. Lately though, it's been Moroccan Pomegranate Red tea, which is quite good.
In the evening, after I get home from a long day at the restaurant I love nothing more than some herbal tea. Celestial Seasonings has some great offerings, Sleepy Time, Tension Tamer. Chamomile and Echoneceia is great for relaxation as well.
My tea routine is a bit weird..

Thanked: 4I enjoy many different teas. Every thing from a simple cup of black tea to a true CHI. Not the sort you buy at the grocery store. Half my family is from India, the recipe I have received from them is Black tea with cardimum, clove and cinnamon. This is all boiled in the same pot, then filtered and sugar and water buffalo milk is added. I have only visited India once in my memory ( I was also there when I was less then 2 years old), but I can tell you the water buffalo milk is different then any thing else I have tried. It is <8% fat and has a really sweet taste. mixing milk and cream with sugar is the closest I have come outside of India.
On another note My father tells me that in India they sell Tea at the Truck stops and rate the strength by the Kilometer. Like this will keep you awake for 500 kilometers or that will keep you awake for 1000 ilometers

Thanked: 4I quite like tisanes like Nettles, Peppermint, coca, lemon and ginger etc. but as for teas only very rarely do I drink them. Some Sencha, Matcha and the like is drinkable but I don't like the likes of Earl Grey.

I drink tea a good portion of the day most days. Usually tending toward Earl Grey in the morning and a nice oolong/green/white in the afternoon with rooisbos or herbal at night. If I'm really tired or just feeling like something strong I'll pull out the pu-erh.
I tend to keep a lot of different teas on hand and experiment quite a bit and yet most of the time only have about three regular go-to teas that compromise most of my consumption. Right now those three are Rishi - Earl Grey Supreme, Rishi - Jasmine Pearl and Choice Tea - Spearmint/Chamomile blend. Rishi's Earl Grey (either Supreme or regular) is pretty much a permanent fixture though I keep Choice's Earl Grey in my laptop bag for whenever I'm away from home.

I have to admit that I'm quite the espresso snob (no Starbucks in my cup), but I limit that to one a day. I drink, whether I'm truly in the mood or not, at least 3 cups of tea a day. I have a variety of loose leaf, as the area I live in fortunately caters to the tea drinker, but I tend to stick more with greens (Buddha's Eyebrow) and whites. I keep caffeinated and decaf on hand so I'm not getting too terribly cracked out at night. Studies in Japan have noted that consuming 3 or more cups of green tea a day have reduced dementia by a ridiculously high percentage. Of course, similar studies have related similar findings regarding coffee and Alzheimers. Considering I'm already losing my mind, I need all the help I can get!!! Great to see some tea drinkers out there! And I do keep a variety of herbal teas for whatever ails you... It's a nice way to take care of someone without shoving a pill down their throat.

Love loose leaf tea... mostly green and white, but sometimes herbal. I started drinking it in lieu of coffee about 18 months ago. Within 3 months my cholesterol had dropped 50 points and has remained low ever since. For those that are curious, my overall level sits at about 150 with my HDL levels close to 60.
I drink 5-6 cups of tea most days.

Thanked: 4I'm a hard core coffeegeek who is also into good tea. I've got everything from Lavender Earl Grey to high end raw pu erh in my leaf stash. A favorite green tea of mine is Tie Guan Yin KING (2007 Autumn). I love a couple of cups of jasmine pearls in the evening. I bought a pair of Bodum double walled glass mugs just for tea. Heat in a micro, then the Swissgold tea ball goes in for steeping. YUM!

I love tea as well. My parents are from Iran, and I grew up in Germany...so tea has always been a huge part of my life. My favorite would have to be Earl Grey Cream. I think there is a loose leaf tea store called teavana that I get it from. Absolutely superb!
Great thread too
