I am just a tea lover... and so is my wife. All about loose leaf tea. First thing in the morning to wake me up: early breakfast tea ! then shaving (nothing better to begin the day).
Actually, we have more than 70 different kind of teas, and 17 tea pots (only one tea for one clay tea pot, one sort of tea for one cast iron or porcelain tea pot).
Usually in the morning we drink simple tea like Ceylon or Darjeeling, perfume or more strong tea in the afternoon (like Earl Grey) and green or white tea in the evening.
Our favourite brand of tea are: mariage-frère, London Tea Company, Tschin-Ta-Ni, Le Palais des Thés, Twinings, Lipton...
But we also have a few other brands like MingCha, Danny's, Williamson & Magor, Het Brugs Theehuis, Wilkin & Sons Limited, Fortnum & Mason, Fine Tea Trading Company, Fauchon...
Hope my shave den will not grow until it reaches such proportions, or we will have to move in another apartment.

Thanked: 3In only just started drinking tea, but the mall near my work and the mall near my home both have added a store called Teavana. The first tea I ever tried and liked was the tea they serve at Dim Sum in Chinatown, so I got the Jasmine Oolong. (We believe the Dim Sum tea is Jasmine.) It's loose leaf and I got this cool little cast iron tea cup with a dragon. I really enjoy it so far and will probably try another oolong sometime soon.
Teavana has some really cool teapots, too. I would love to get this one: http://www.teavana.com/Buddha+s+Hand...ProductDetails

I get most of my tea from The Stash Tea Company or Upton Tea Imports.

Thanked: 2I am mostly a coffee drinker, but do like all green teas. Only tea I dislike is Earl Grey (tastes like dish water, don't ask)

My favorite tea is keemun, it is this deliciously smooth black tea, with no bitterness and some nice natural sweetness to it

Green Jasmine loose leaf tea brewed in a Finum permanent filter, second and third steep. Fabulous hot, even better iced. Squeeze in just a little fresh lime and you are hooked.

The Finer Things
I'm totally blown away that there are so many tea drinkers here! I guess it goes to show that we (straight users) also enjoy the finer things in life. I was just notified by email that my tea purveyor has just received shipment of some new teas. Dragonwell, Pouchong and an unknown to me "Yellow" Tea!! I'm on my way to Wausau (WI) Saturday!!!!!!!

Thanked: 0Another tea lover here. I'll drink just about anything as long as it's good tea brewed well, but I'm particularly partial to rich blacks and greens with a lot of body like Golden Monkey and Pekoe. The only things I really can't stand is the very herbaceous greens, which taste to me like the contents of a mulching mower's catch-bag, and cheaply 'flavored" teas, which I find have horrible, horrible smells. Currently I've got about twenty different types floating around in my desk, most of which I've purchased from Adagio, to add another store to the list. If anyone wants to try them out, PM me your email address and I can send you a $5 coupon.
+1 to previous post; it's great to see so many people share the two current economically-consuming passions of my life. Cheers!
