Tea Anyone?
Are there any tea totallers out there? My favorite commercial loose leaf tea is Earl Grey. I found a place in central Wisconsin that caters to the local Hmung population, and I'm currently experimenting with some rather expensive brews. Their most expensive loose leaf is a tea called, Te An (with no idea of the actual spelling. I'm going phonetic here) which sells for $10 per ounce! I think that qualifies it as a "dime" bag. Anyway, love to here from some other tea drinkers out there.

Thanked: 0I partake of the leaf now and then. :-)
I'm not very advanced, though. I derive great pleasure from a well-brewed cup of loose-leaf Earl Grey. It doesn't have to be any fancier than that for me.
If you want to include infusions in this discussion, I also quite like a cup of South-African rooibos of an evening.

Some nice oolong or white tea cannot be beat in my view.

I only drink tea, not coffee. My morning commuter cup holds a quart and is a "must have" or the day does not start. I drink Tetley's strong brew to get my kick start. When I get home in the afternoon I have couple cups of Earl Grey.

Thanked: 4Is tetley's actually tea? I always presumed that it was just whatever got swept up on the floor.

I love tea....I usually drink about 4-5 cups per WEEK....I am not a big fan of caffeine and religiously avoid caffeine except for the 4-5 cups of tea I drink per week, typically an hour before I eat my last meal of the day. Most teas I am a fan of....my current stash is just some high quality organic blend of white and green teas, some chamomile, and scottish breakfast tea (just finished that actually). No sugar or honey required as the tea actually has enough of a sweetness for me.
Being in NYC and having Chinatown close by, I can get jasmine pearls (the hand rolled pear-like jasmine leaves) for a bargain price.... I just keep forgetting to buy some everytime im down there.

yeah, I'm into loose leaf tea, usually stick with Earl Greyer from whole foods, but sometimes I will get fancy and get some scottish breakfast tea or white ginger or something from an organic food store to try.

I also don't drink coffee, just tea. I don't drink too much of it though - perhaps a cup or two a day. I currently have an almost empty tin of 'imperial gunpowder' of taylor&harrogate, almost full tin of rishi's earl gray and probably 1/4lb of excellent organic yunnan.
I also like herbal teas since I grew up this way, but again not the teabags - usually picked up and dried by my mom (usually tilia, rosehips, or a blend of thyme, oregano, st. john's wort, and leaves of raspberry and blackberry).
