I love tea! Always loose leaf, nothing in it. My lady and I like to share pu erh out of a nice little yixing teapot every evening to facilitate conversation and wind down.

I'm really fond of just about any high quality tea, though I'm not as fond of rooibos teas (not really tea anyway, just like mate, just a tea-like beverage) though lately I've been having a lot of keemun and single-estate assam. Gunpowder and dragonwell are great green teas, as well as pai mu tan.

We have something of a rep. with the owner of the local specialty tea store at this point. He'll be scoring some real rare stuff soon, so we'll see how that turns out!

Yes! I adore tea. Mainly china teas like Lapsang Souchong and Earl Grey 'cos I find them to be lighter and more refreshing than the indian teas, though I will have Darjeeling or Assam from time to time. Ceylon is very nice too. And leaf is the way to go, but I will throw in a bag when needs must.

I never drink coffee; I just can't stand the taste, but I also don't feel it suits my character. Tea, for me, is a more laid-back easy drink, more suited to slowing down, relaxing and thinking/daydreaming. When I think of coffee ( no offence coffee drinkers ) it conjures up images of people rushing around with huge cups, trying to refuel for the grueling day ahead. Coffee is the drink of go-getters, tea the drink of poets and philosophers. Nonsense, I'm sure, but they're the associations I have personally. I'm pleased to see so many discerning tea drinkers at SRP. Maybe it's the lust for the finer things in life.

Milk and sugar in tea? I drink mine without, 'cos I just wanna taste the tea itself. I don't adulterate my favourite beers with anything, so why do so with tea?

I'm gonna have a nice cup of Earl Grey now.

Interesting...this is the only black tea I cannot drink. I bought a quarter pound of Keemun Imperial, tried to drink it three or four times, and just couldn't stomach the taste. I even committed heresy by trying it with a little milk and sugar, but all three times I ended up dumping the tea down the sink.

My current fave is Margaret's Hope darjeeling, but I like a hearty Assam from time to time as well.

Cool Turns Out Tea Nirvana is ON MY DOORSTEP!!!

I finally found time to step into this establishment very near my home, only to discover they have a raft of only the best teas in the world waiting for me ... and I mean the best and I do mean only the best. How lucky I am. I've been drinking their organic Darjeeling and it's quite simply the best cup I've ever had. I'm going to have to branch out and try their Emperor's Keemun and their house blends as well.

Stepping into the little shop is like stepping out of the city. There've no time for the rush of progress so I vow not to enter if I'm on the go, only if I have the time it takes to enjoy a cup or shop leisurely. They just don't believe in exempting the moment it takes for a smile to brighten your day. In a city brimming with cafés (my neighbourhood favourite is coincidentally right across the street), this place is like another world.

No if I had that in my town, I have to buy on line not that its a problem and probably cheaper but walk in to a place like that would be nice especially if it was a next to the Cigar Parlor. As I sit here enjoying a cup of Risheehat Estate 2nd Flush Darjeeling with a touch of Tupelo Honey

Green Teas: Spring Brow reserve, Green Tea Chai Spice, Here is one if you can find it... It is a Kenyan Green tea. KDTA Cooperative Whole Leaf Green, I also have some very nice Jasmine, teas, I also like this Japanise tea...Gen-Mai Cha Kamakura...Very good stuff.

Two pints of Twining's Earl Grey with breakfast, every day. Other than that got to be Darjeeling First Flush. Margaret Hope has many happy associations, as I visited the estate years ago. Yunnan is another fave, especially the old Russian varieties. Keemun I can take or leave. There used to be a black jasmine tea, Chung Hao, which I loved. I've not seen any for at least 15 years

I'll have to get some decent Assam & brew up a pan of Chai. I was given a recipe by a friend's amah whilst in Mumbai. Hot sweet spicy bliss
I'll swing by Twining's when I'm in London next month & see if they still do Queen Mary there. If I can, I'll let you know. A new/old Darjeeling? Yes PLEASE!!!!
