I play mostly English Ceilidh dance tunes.

My main instrument is the melodeon. I have three hand built Italian jobs, two Castagnaris and a Dino Baffetti, and a couple of Hohners.

Also play mandolin, ukulele, guitar, tenor banjo and a bit of fiddle.

I play mostly electric guitar, have a few nice ones with customized electronics (of course) and the requisite collection (small) of vintage tube amps to round out the sounds I like to make.

I also play the banjo, have a cheap-o Frankenstein of an instrument that I don't think I'll ever part.

in school I played the trumpet, but not very seriously.

The piano is on a to do list for when I have time/money/time to learn.

I started playing Viola in the 4th or 5th grade and gave that up when we moved as the local school had a marching band instead of orchestra. In 7th grade I started learning trumpet which I played for 3 years, then for my final 2 years I played baritone. After graduation I started playing violin. Now 27 years later I'm taking guitar (acoustic) lessons.

I play mainly western swing or folk. Recently, I've started learning to pick some old Simon and Garfunkel stuff, Sound of Silence, 59th Street Bridge Song (Feeling Groovy) etc.

I have played piano since I was 7, guitar since I was 13, and a little drums starting at 15. I am VERY passionate about playing the piano and singing.

I typically play contemporary Christian, Southern Gospel, classical, and Jazz. My father, brother and I sing at various churches...mostly contemporary Christian (Phillips, Craig, & Dean) and Southern Gospel. I usually play piano for this when we sing, and it's SO much fun.

As said, I'm VERY passionate about music. It's a huge part of my life.

Also, do you consider Guitar Hero an instrument??

I'm a pretty bad alto sax player and an even worse clarinet player. The shame of it, though, is that the clarinet belonged to my great uncle who used to perform in the Tonight Show band (orchestra?) when it was hosted by Jack Paar. So, unlike my $65 sax (1984 dollars), I can't blame the instrument. Come to think of it, the guy in college who gave me some saxophone lessons (first chair in the National Symphony Orchestra) said I can't blame the sax either.

    I'm a snare drummer myself.

I played in a Fife and Drum Corps for a lot of years and I miss it.

Unfortunately never moved my skills over to set drumming. Maybe someday

Electric guitar ! There is no more beautiful sound in the world than the sweet, dirty sound of an overdriven tube amp cranked up to 10. Playing it well is like taming a wild beast. Raw power dripping from your fingertips!
