Went to Toledo Tuesday, had a Padron 3000 on the way up, some good calamari and pistachio crusted salmon along with a couple glasses of chardonnay for dinner.

Best part, business trip, expense report. My favorite place in Toledo is Zia’s. Good Italian food, super auso buco and taramesue as well.

Sometimes, the best things come early in the day. I love espresso, and this blend is developing nicely. It is a Yemen, aged Sumatran and Java blend roasted 6 days ago in my HotTop. Nice brick red crema and very heavily laden with it.

My Dad’s birthday today so the entire family came over. Grilled T-bone and ribeye stakes, salmon stakes (that dad caught) and enjoyed each others company.

Later in the day, my son and I got out a book on ‘the worlds best paper airplanes’ and a stack of paper. An hour later we were flying a dozen different paper airplanes in the back yard on a gloriously Sunday afternoon. Not be left out, I sat on the couch with the daughter and watched a movie this evening. It was a good day.

I went to Herrera's on Illinois Ave and had the Pepe's special and a Dr pepper. Life doesn't get better than that! That's a beef taco, chicken taco, beef burrito and beef enchilada with chili ontop of everything! I don't even have to order when I walk in. They always know that I get the Pepe's special, 'cause I'm the man (that and I go there alot).

I decided to see what all the fuss was about with single malt whiskeys today. Bought a bottle of Talisker and shared a couple of fingers with my wife. She didn't like hers, so I had two.
