do that. I've always removed the string on my recurve, after shooting.

I haven't had a recurve for a long time but I thought you had to destring it. That's what my dad had us do as kids.

If you zoom in on the handle area you'll see the major delamination in the limb where the glass and bamboo seperated from the handle. Basically it broke with a big bang on full draw.
