    300 is a BIG deal !

Butt you have the skill and the ability to reach that!

At first you have to think about what you are doing. [your conscience mind]

    then just do it!!!!

like throwing a baseball. You don't think. =your sub conscience.

    Which target face for archery???

NFAA five spot is not "super" hard. I have shot 59X a couple of times. Never 60.

Maple Leaf 40cm NFAA 5 Spot Target Face

The best I have done on the Vegas target is 297.

Maple Leaf FT-40cm 3 Spot Grey "Vegas" Target Face

I know many more archers that have shot 300 than I do bowlers but then again I don't hang out with bowlers.

    This weekend I imagined I was in Vegas. 290 12X, 290 11X, and 294 8X. I wonder how that would place me?

That was with my compound. Shot a 246 with my olympic recurve on the NFAA with my recurve tonight. Gotta get better before the State tournament with that.

I know I shouldn't be mixing styles but I have to have fun!

I just looked up the results and I would be in 376th place out of 876.

877 if I would have been there!

I wonder how the modern guys would fair using the same equipment as these archers?

Whole different way of shooting there Roy

btw I'm guessing the middle guy has a heavier poundage bow than the others. The brace on his wrist is most likely connected to a thumbring spreading the draw weight to his wrist. A simiar brace connect to the elbow would allow the shooting of a much heavier bow as the thumb is less stressed.
