Grizzley, sorry to hear about that!
It is so hard to have to let these friends go, and yet, it is what we must do as responsible owners..
I sincerely feel your loss, take comfort in all the wonderful memories.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Thank you all,
Although this was a hard decision, it was also an important and necessary one. For the last few weeks the old lady had such a bad legs that it didn't have much strenght to take long walks anymore. Only few hundred slow meters. But surely it always looked disappointed as we left it home and took the other dogs for a long walk, either into forest or nearby shore or wherever. Chasing rabbits seems to be greatest fun for our doggies although i've never seen them catch any.
Howevers, here's few from this morning. One is now missing forever but still 3 weirdos on a go.

I always like seeing pictures of your dogs, but, my daughter LOVES seeing them! Although your decision was a hard one to make, it was the right one. Too often I've seen dog owners put off that decision and prolong a dog's pain. They hold off because of what they feel is love, but their love is misguided. It's good to see your three "weirdos" keeping the World safe from rabbits!

Thanked: 0We had to put our 13-year old dog to sleep a few years ago. The vet brought up using pain killers, but the "grumpy old man" slept all the time anyway, even when he was in good health. Our vet did housecalls for "saying goodbye," so we didn't even have to put him through the stress of going to the vet.
I still miss him (he'd been with me for 9 years, 4 cities, 5 apartments, and 2 girlfriends), but he's much better off now.

Six decades of beagles-here's the last, Flikka. Paws on every one we had smelled like popcorn.

Here's few videos from the last springtime or so. Do's and don'ts for dogs. My daughter training with two of our dogs at the neighborhood.
The black puppy already knows the name of the game but on the second video is a bit more hopeless case. Dog (4 yo) seems to miss a bit even basic commands like istu (= sit), sivulle (= by the side) and maahan ( = go down). Cannot be too angry for at least it's trying so hard. Just it isn't the sharpest pencil in the pouch.
