I went back to the range today and remembered my scope this time. Besides a few rude deputies, I had a fantastic time. The scope was already sighted in perfect and I had zero trouble putting a round anywhere I wanted it. If you're looking for a cheapo plinker that's actually a really nice gun, check one of these out.

In other news, I fondled a 1911 for the first time today and instantly fell in love! It just feels right in the hand. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to shoot one. Maybe next time.

I've wanted a 1911 for the longest time. They're just so durn expensive! So...when I bought my handgun, I let myself be talked into one of these:

    Shoots like a wet dream.

They sure have come a ways up in the world since they were called the hs2000 and sold for a mere $225 haven't they? Nice guns

Charles Daly makes a very good 1911 at a very reaonable price!

Unexpectedly and all over the place?

Yours is the first good review I've heard so far. A lot of the law enforcement types don't seem to like them

Any particular reason? I haven't run more than 500 rounds through it yet, but it's been pretty accurate at the short ranges I've shot at. I haven't had any problems with it that I recall either.

...except when you put a full load of 17 rounds in it, it weighs more than you'd want to carry on your waist concealed. If I'm carrying, I tend to only put 7 or 10 in and keep a full clip in the truck or otherwise nearby.

No real reasons. The last guy I asked said he just didn't like the way it felt and he hated the series since it started. He was a rude douchebag though, so that may have been part of it

He was the one with the 1911 wasn't he. There are far to many guys who own 1911's who believe anything else is junk just because it is something else. The 1911 is a great gun but there are many other great guns too.

I don't know, he might have been a 1911 guy. He was just one of the many deputies that grace the gun range with their presence. You know the type- overly stern and curt for no reason and have no time for useless banter such as "hey, welcome to the range, what can I do for you?".
